Brett Johnson returns for his third season at NYFW with a collection inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains in his hometown of Virginia. The designer used a colour palette of brown, navy, and grey hues to represent the landscape.
Showcased in his collection are cashmere-wool blends, tweed, woven mohair fabrics, as well as pebbled textures. The pieces in this collection have a laid-back style with its relax tailoring.
“The mixed-media field jacket in a cotton-cashmere blend best represents the message of the entire collection,” says Johnson when asked about his favourite piece of the collection.
Some other highlights on the runway were the lamb suede panelled peacoat with corduroy trousers, and the mohair-collared parka.
