Oscars 2017 -Style Comparison

At the moment, the 2017 Oscars Best Picture mix-up is all anyone can talk about. However, CAISA Fashion Show is here to cover this year’s red carpet looks, and make sure you don’t also mix up similar outfits that different attendees wore.

Brie Larson & Taraji P. Henson

Brie: Oscar de la Renta dress, Neil Lane jewelry, Aquazzura shoes.

Taraji: Alberta Ferretti dress, Nirav Modi jewelry, Jimmy Choo shoes, Jimmy Choo clutch.

Both sported low neckline black dresses that tapered at the waist, although Brie had a longer ruffled train and Taraji opted for a more prominent leg slit.

Octavia Spencer and Sofia Boutella 

Octavia: Marchesa gown, Forevermark Diamond jewelry.

Sofia: Chanel haute couture dress, Chanel Fine jewelry.

Both wore floor length silver dresses with feathered finishes, but have differences in feather colour, sparkle, and shoulder straps.

Riz Ahmed and Chris Evans

Riz: Ermenegildo Zegna Couture Tuxedo, Montblanc tuxedo shirt studs and cuff links, Christian Louboutin shoes

Chris: Salvatore Ferragamo Tuxedo, Montblanc cuff links and watch,
Christian Louboutin Shoes.

Both had blue tuxes complete with black bowties and white shirts, but Riz’s look was a darker navy two-piece, whereas Chris went with a brighter navy three-piece complete with a white pocket square.

Naomie Harris & Karlie Kloss

Naomie: Calvin Klein By Appointment dress, Bulgari jewelry.

Karlie: Stella McCartney dress, Nirav Modi jewelry, Roger Vivier clutch.

Both wore form fitting white dresses with capes, although Naomie showed off her asymmetric heels with a back cape, and Karlie draped her’s across a shoulder and sported a prominent Breast Cancer Foundation pin.

Ryan Seacrest and Dev Patel

Dev – Burberry suit.

Ryan – Ryan Seacrest Distinction Suit.

Both men chose white tuxes, with black pants and bowties; the small differences lie in bowtie size, as well as shade of white, with Ryan wearing a creamier colour.
