It’s November and you know what that means – it’s time to start growing out your moustaches for Movember. Movember is an annual month-long campaign held by the Movember Foundation aimed at raising awareness and funds for men’s health (prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention programs).
Although you are supposed to begin growing your stache on November 1st, we won’t tell if you’re starting a little late. Here are a few things to keep in mind before starting:
- Shave completely before beginning.
- Only grow a stache and nothing else.
- Trimming and STYLING are encouraged.
- 3 weeks is not a month (don’t cheat).
But how you ask?
Newsflash you DO NOT have to be Superman (Henry Cavill) to pull off a moustache.
Whether you are going for the subtle after eight or the iconic chevron there is a style for everyone. This is why we have scoured the internet for three of our favourite moustache looks you might want to rock this November and beyond.
The After Eight
Just a little bit more noticeable than that 8 o’clock shadow, this look is doable for almost any growers this Movember season. Density is not the key to this style but rather guys must work hard when trimming in order to get optimal width and shape.
The Connoisseur
When you think of an outrageous stache this is most likely the first thing that comes to mind, however, believe it or not, this stache is on the come-up in modern street-style. If you are a man that grows more than peach fuzz and are feeling adventurous start twistin’.
The Chevron
This thick luscious carpet stretching from your upper lip to your nose is one of the most versatile staches out there but is only for the most successful growers. You may want to take pointers from the man who perfected this look himself, Tom Selleck, before committing to this look.
