From Fashion to Philanthropy

As you probably have heard, most of Hollywood showed up in black to the 2018 Golden Globe Awards just two weeks ago to show their support for victims of sexual harassment/assault and the ongoing #MeToo campaign. Now, 39 dresses and tuxedos wore on the red carpet are up for sale on the auction site eBay. Through a partnership between Condé Nast and eBay, designers have agreed to sell their creations on the site with all proceeds going to Times Up.

The Times Up initiative is a follow up to the #Metoo movement created by over 300 of Hollywood’s leading women earlier this year. The money raised is being used not only provide legal aid to victims through a defence fund but will also help lobby for changes in policy regarding sexual misconduct. For more information on Times Up, please read the open letter that launched the groundbreaking campaign, in the New York Times.
