Rachel, Creative Assistant

Number of years you’ve been on the show: 2 years

A description of your position: Mainly worship our creative directors, Abby and Rosie, but we occasionally scope out cool venues for our lookbooks and recruit super talented hair and makeup artists to style our models

Why did you decide to join CFS?
I saw the show in the first year and couldn’t believe it was completely student-run. I knew I wanted to be a part of that – over 100 students coming together to achieve a common goal and create something spectacular.

What are some highlights from your experience with CFS?
Ohana means family – and CFS is mine. Whether it was working in a dusty old basement making sets, going on bubble tea runs, or waking up at 6am just to get to a photoshoot, the fact that you’re surrounded by your family makes it all worth it.

What are some things you’ve learned from being on CFS?
1) The motto – #oneteamonedream – can take you far anywhere you go
2) Last year’s show was pronounced es-spy-al, not es-pee-al
3) The models are actually students on campus and I could literally meet them while waiting in line for a Spoke bagel

What’s your motto to live by?
Do what makes you happy

If you could be any Disney character, who would you be? Why?
Stitch – crazy little ball of energy but also a complete softie

McDonalds runs and pre-shoot group naps on Alli’s bed.

What are some things you’ve learned from being on CFS?

3. The immeasurable amount of talent, hard work and dedication that goes into putting together the show.

What’s your must-have fashion item?
Statement rings

Cruella de Vil because her style is underrated.
