Best Study Spots to Check Out in London

So you’ve made it through the first few weeks of the new semester! But it also means midterms are approaching, and the last thing you want to be stressed about is finding a place to study. It’s always been a struggle to get a cubicle at Weldon or Taylor, and it’s becoming harder to find study spaces on campus altogether. This is where we join in!  We want to help you in finding a quiet location where you can study. We found a few off-campus places in London near Western where you can study without having to get up early in the morning to secure a spot in the libraries!

Covent Garden Market

This may appear to be an unusual choice — isn’t a market too noisy to study in? It can be, but if you go at the right time, the Covent Garden Market has just enough commotion to give pleasant background noise without being too loud. There are lots of places to relax and work, as well as a variety of restaurants to visit when you need a break!

Locomotive Espresso

As any university student knows, sometimes the school library just won’t cut it anymore. This lovely café is filled with comfortable booths with an amazing variety of coffee and snacks to help you get your work done!

The Alley

What can I say about The Alley that you don’t already know? The Alley caters to students in every aspect, including amazing bubble tea and plenty of seating. Located on Wonderland Road North, It has plenty of chairs and free Wi-Fi.  The amenities help to make guests feel more comfortable, in addition to the sweet smell of tapioca!

London Public Library

Surprisingly, London has its own library beyond Western walls! I chose the library because there are so many branches throughout the city with private study rooms. If you need a typical library setting to help you stay focused and productive, then London Public Library is the place to go! As a bonus to help you relax when you’re stressed, it’s also close to the Citi Plaza, which has a lot of shops!

Coffee Culture Café & Eatery

Cafés are always a good choice! Coffee Culture is a popular hangout spot for students, offering a variety of accommodations such as accessible outlets, free Wi-Fi, comfortable couches, and a wide range of drinks and snacks!
